Description:
Concrete will be placed over the existing aggregate paths, as well as a new concrete loop around the existing pond to increase accessibility.
Traffic Control/Detours:
No detours will be necessary for this work. The park will be closed for approximately 30 to 45 days during the duration of this project.
Progress:
7/8/2026: The contractor made quick work of this project. All of the new concrete paths have been poured and have achieved proper strength. The park has now reopened to the public.
The contractor also spread topsoil and straw mulch along the sides of the new path network. Because these newly restored areas will need time to fully grow in, we ask that the public please stay on the sidewalks and refrain from stepping on the newly seeded grass.
6/16/2026: The contractor will mobilize to the site this Tuesday and begin removing the topsoil in the locations of the proposed pathway. The overall project is anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete.
