Cedar Spring Estates Water Main Lining
Please note - due to the nature of road construction, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, dates/times may vary. Thanks for your patience as we work to improve our roads.
Updated: June 16, 2026
Start: June 2026
Current Status: Pending
End: September 2026
Description:
The Cedar Spring Estates subdivision has experienced numerous water main breaks over the last decade due to corrosion and deterioration of the existing ductile iron pipe. Instead of a full replacement of the water main, which would involve significant excavation and disturbance to the adjacent lands and roadways, the City will be placing a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, of approximately 5,000 feet of 8-inch and 600 feet of 12-inch water main. The project will also involve the replacement of existing valves and hydrants. A temporary water service will be provided to the residents prior to and during construction
Traffic Control/Detours:
Depending on the locations of work, which will vary, there may be some minor lane closures, but two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.
Progress:
6/16/2026: The contractor is setting up the temporary water services for the whole project, which should be completed this week. Next week, the contractor will start excavating the bore pits needed for the entry points of the lining process.
5/27/2026: A contractor has been selected, and construction will begin in mid-June. The project is expected to take about two months
5/12/2026: A pre-construction conference is scheduled for Thursday, May 14.
