About Jessica’s Splash Pad:

A splash pad, in honor of former FOX 2 Meteorologist Jessica Starr-Rose, is located at Bosco Fields Park and opened the Summer of 2024.

The Starr-Rose family – with the help of the Novi Parks Foundation conducted a fundraising campaign to assist with bringing a splashpad to the City of Novi. Jessica, who died of suicide in 2018 following complications from surgery, was a Novi resident and her husband Dan and two children Noah and Riley still live in the city. Her mother Carol Starr said the splashpad is not just to memorialize her daughter, but to be a place for kids, parents, grandparents, and friends to gather and make memories of their own and bring awareness to the mental health issues that impact so many families.

Jessica’s Splashpad will be open 10am - 7pm starting the Saturday of Memorial Day through Labor Day weather permitting. No entry fee. No lifeguards on duty.

Jessica’s Splash Pad may be closed at any time due to weather, maintenance and repairs, special events or for other operational matters.

How do I find out if the Splash Pad is closed due to weather?

Will the Splash Pad open if it's too cold?

The Splash Pad may remain closed if the temperature is not expected to reach 70°F(actual temperature). Other factors, such as humidity, sunlight, and wind conditions, also affect our decision to open or close the Splash Pad.

What happens if the weather turns bad during the day?

If inclement weather is forecasted for most of the day, the Splash Pad may remain closed or operate on limited hours. In the event of inclement weather during operating hours, patrons may be asked to seek shelter in their cars, and the Splash Pad could close for a 30-minute weather delay. The Splash Pad will immediately close for a 30- minute weather delay if there is lightning or thunder. Please call the Hotline for the most updated information on the operating status of the Splash Pad.
