Description

The Wixom Road Rehabilitation Project includes almost two miles of asphalt resurfacing from 10 Mile Road to just south of Grand River Avenue, adding a left turn lane from Kelsey Bay Dr. to Drakes Bay Dr., as well as a new concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer upgrades, and sidewalk ramp ADA upgrades.

In order to avoid as much of the fall season construction impacting nearby schools (Catholic Central High School, Novi Middle School, and Deerfield Elementary) the project is being split up into two main phases: (Phase 1) - 11 Mile Road to just south of Grand River Avenue and (Phase 2) - 10 Mile to 11 Mile Roads. Although, construction for Phase 1 will be concentrated north of 11 Mile Road, the detour and flow of traffic will be set up for the entire two mile stretch.
