The property is zoned R-4 and is located north of Thirteen Mile Road and west of Novi Road. The variance may be granted due to the setback, frontage and height requirements do unreasonably prevent the use of the property. The variance will provide substantial justice to the petitioner and surrounding property owners. It adds unique circumstances to the property. It is not self-created and there will adequate light and air to the adjacent properties. There will not be an increase of fire danger or reduction in public safety. It will increase the property values within the surrounding area and is in the spirit of the Zoning Ordinance. Motion carried: 7-0 2. Case 10-017 2022 Austin Drive The petitioner is requesting variances to allow renovation and construction of an addition to an existing residence located at 2022 Austin.
