MASTER PLAN FOR LAND USE Adoption of the City of Novi Updated Master Plan for Land Use. Motion to move the Audience Participation to after the Staff Presentation on the Master Plan. Motion carried 7-0. Motion to designate land in the northwest quadrant of Section 18, tax parcel 50-22-18-100-006, as light industrial. Motion fails 4-4 (Yes: Avdoulos, Gaul, Kocan, Pehrson; No: Cassis, Gutman, Lipski, Sprague). Motion to designate the land in the northern half of Section 18, tax parcels 50-22-18-100-006, 50-22-18-100-004, 50-22-18-100-005, 50-22-18-200-001, 50-22-18-200-003, and the part of 50-22-18-200-014 not used by Catholic Central, as a Special Planning Project Area. Motion carries 6-2 (Yes: Cassis, Gaul, Gutman, Kocan, Lipski, Sprague; No: Avdoulos, Pehrson). Motion to designate the land in the northwest quadrant of Section 26, with the exception of the property between Novi Road and a line connecting the southeast corner of Walgreen’s and the northeast corner of the Credit Union, as a Special Planning Project Area. Motion carries 5-3 (Yes: Cassis, Gaul, Gutman, Lipski, Sprague; No: Avdoulos, Kocan, Pehrson). Motion to designate the residential density of the MSU Tollgate Educational Facility property, tax parcel 50-22-11- 400-005 and 50-22-11-400-006, as .8, and add text to the Master Plan document stating the Planning Commission’s desire about not wanting future development. Motion carries 8-0. Motion to designate the former Bosco property, tax parcel 50-22-20- 200-011, as an educational facility. Motion carries 8-0. Motion to adopt the Resolution Approving the 2004 Master Plan for Land Use with the amendments from this evening’s meeting, and changing "September" and "February 24" on the second page of the Resolution (in the paragraph beginning, "Now, therefore, it is resolved") to "December." Motion carried 8-0.
